OUR STORY
How we began
Our company ‘JD HORSES’ (Llc) officially is founded in 2021 but our journey began long before then!
Equestrian journey has started when Jolanta Dukaļska (the founder of ‘JD HORSES’ ) bought her first sport horse more that 16 years ago. And, yes, it has started with horse purchase not sales.
As an amateur rider, Jolanta had to find an opportunity to combine desires with financial possibilities, and had to learn not only to spend, but also to earn money for equine partners.
Experience gained in several years of horse marketing and horse dealing turned into a professional business. Which allows us now to provide the highest quality services in purchase and sale sport horses
Over the years and experience with different customers we have built a good reputation in equestrian industry. And all these contacts made a valuable start for own company. We’ve done it all to match the skills and ambitions of our customers and help in finding the perfect horse for them.
THE STABLES
Our horses are located in different stables. The total number varies from year to year, but is mostly around twenty horses.
Near the Sigulda (just 60km from Riga) we have our own ‘small paradise’. The country-side stable with large pasture areas, mostly specialized in breeding and producing young horses. There we keep broodmares and youngsters until they can be started under saddle.
Young horses are trained according to their physical and psychological abilities. And when they are strong enough to start to have more specific education, they are given to different riders to be trained and compete.
HORSE BREEDING
Our own self-bred horses have shown good results in Latvian young horse evalution show “Rudens Pērle” several years in a row.
From a small number of foals (only a couple of foals a year) every year are produced quality horses. Purposefully selected breeding mares, evaluated on their capacity and ‘work-ability’ inseminated with good breeding material.
RESULTS:
2021 – DIARADA (Da Silva-Desperados x LobbyB) 2nd place in 3yo mare class.
2022 – DIARADA 3rd place in 4yo mare class.
2022 – DEMILLA ROYAL (Don Royal – Jazz x Concord) 1st place in 3yo mare class.
2023 – DEMILLA ROYAL 2nd place in 4yo mare class.
2023 – WHISKEY BREAK (WhisperR – Heartbreaker/Indoctro x Royaldik) 1st place in 3yo stallion class.
Our home bred horses mostly are sold as foals.
HORSE MARKETING AND SALE
Our goal has always been honest and professional horse sales.
We concentrate on the ride-ability and balance of young horses and take them to many local horse shows where they gain a lot of experience. We offer horses at different levels of training suitable for all rings – show jumping, dressage, hunters or equitation.
We understand and respect that everyone enters into their horse journey with a different set of objectives and possibilities. We have horses of varying prices, ability and experience. We also broker a limited selection of horses that we have evaluated in person.
All horses listed on website have been vetted before being offered for sale by an independent and high qualified veterinarian. Our basic vet check covers set of X-Rays (back and legs) and clinical examination. We can arrange an additional vet check at the buyer’s expenses.
VALUES WE CARE ABOUT:
Providing excellent care of our horses is our top priority. We cooperate with veterinarians, farriers and equine body workers to keep our horses happy and in good shape.
